Ms. Dhari is an Assistant Professor of Teaching in UBC Nursing undergraduate program. A faculty member since 2013, Ms. Dhari has background in Public Health nursing, with over 34 years of experience as a frontline public health nurse, and worked through several pandemics. She has a strong interest in engaging students in service learning in the primary health care context, especially with community agencies serving marginalized populations. In 2017, co – designed and developed, and currently teaches, the popular Nurs 180 ” Stress and Strategies to Promote Wellbeing” course, offered to all UBC students. Ms. Dhari is a recipient of Excellence in Nursing Education Award, Nurses’ and Nurse Practitioners of BC (NNPBC) (2019) and Award of Excellence in Nursing Practice, 1995, College of Registered Nurses of BC. She received UBC School of Nursing Centenary Medal of Distinction in 2019.
